Thinking of Purchasing an IPad in 2021? Here are 5 reasons why you should not think twice.

Updated: Aug 19, 2021

Honestly, I have been meaning to purchase an IPad since 2013 but looking at the price point I never really got down to getting one. But after I started making my own money I was now in a position to justify my purchase and could take the blame on myself if it felt like one of those unnecessary buys. So, I got my hands on the IPad Pro 2020 in August 2020 and haven’t put it down ever since.I'm pleasantly surprised by how very useful this one device is and is no doubt my favourite tech purchase till date. Let me detail it below for you.

1. It's a beast at multi tasking

The IPad is a mighty beast when it comes to multi tasking. You could be binging on Netflix or Youtube and very smoothly shift to more serious stuff of working on your excel sheets or google docs without any inconvenience. I, as a fact of the matter, created this entire website from scratch solely on my IPad

It can also be converted to a cellular device. So, you would not have any issues with looking for a nearby wifi network.

It's almost a no brainer but an IPad can be used both for casual usage as well as professional work. I would say that it can ‘almost’ replace a laptop for the most users.

2. Extremely portable

It is light-weight, compact and does not occupy much space in your backpack. It also has no booting time. It basically reduces the friction when an idea pops in your brain and you take it down before it leaves your brain.

It has a good battery back up and does not unnecessarily drain the battery when not in use.

3. Great for artists.

The apple pencil is one heck of an invention. It is highly compatible with the IPad and gives a very seamless experience. For artists and designers, the Procreate App which is exclusively available on the IPad is a game-changer in my opinion. It also helps amateurs like me to create and design decent art work.

4. Great for students

Well I belong to the generation that filled out a number of books in the name of notes. Looking back I wouldn’t know which topic was written in which notebook. I therefore feel this generation of students have such a benefit that they can digitally create all of their notes which would be relevant to them years after they complete their studies. The apple pencil is very nicely compatible with the note-taking apps like Apple Notes, Good Notes 5 and Notability to name a few. Combine it with a matte-finish screen protector and taking down notes is an absolute dream.

5. Its an investment and not a liability

I understand that some of you may disagree to this point. But I believe anything that can help you reduce your time to get some work done even if it's just a few minutes a day can really make a big difference in the long term. The reduced friction to get a task done that I have observed since my purchase has totally been worth the money spent.

You can also look at this way that when you buy any apple product the software updates that you keep receiving over the years only enhance the product. This naturally increases the shelf of the product and can be used for several years without a replacement. On the other hand, the software updates on Android Tabs are still not as frequent and groundbreaking as the ones for mobile devices.

The cons for me would be only the high price but as I said, that in the long run it is worth the money. Do you use the IPad or are considering buying one? Let me know in the comments below what’s stopping you? I may be able to help with your questions.
